Who We Are
Established in 1991, The California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) is the largest tourism organization of its kind in California. We are a non-profit, statewide organization that is wholly dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards in bed and breakfast accommodations. Currently, CABBI has more than 300 members.
In Spring of 2007, CABBI and the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) entered into a partnership that will provide CABBI members with greater access to legislative, marketing, educational and professional development resources specific to the California lodging industry.
Why We're Different
CABBI redefines the B&B experience for travelers seeking the perfect accommodations. How?
All bed and breakfast facilities must first undergo our certification process before becoming a CABBI member. This includes meeting and maintaining rigorous standards in their operations such as housekeeping, customer service and regular maintenance checks through site inspections. All CABBI members must verify they possess the required permits and documentation to operate.
So, while searching for accommodations, travelers can rest assured they will be staying in a quality, well-maintained and pre-certified bed and breakfast or inn.
In addition, because we’re dedicated to the state of California, we’re uniquely positioned to provide more one-on-one, localized support to our members -- and therefore peace of mind for travelers – to ensure a wonderful stay across all of CABBI’s Golden State destinations.
Our Members
CABBI B&B's provide more than a room where people sleep. They add substance to a destination—a room with a different view. Travelers can choose from historic Victorian mansions, boutique hotels, rustic alpine cottages, beach-front homes, and unusual settings like boats. Search for B&Bs by region, inn name, amenities, availability, and promotional packages.
Above all, CABBI's charm is the innkeepers. These tireless hosts are often the best “travel planners” in town and they are eager to help their guests plan itineraries tailored to personal interests.
